How long does it take for the skin to tighten back up after a liposuction procedure? I assume since the fat is removed immediately and not gradually that it would take the skin some time to adjust to that.

Yes it is definitely possible to perform multiple areas of liposuction in one setting, but the most important factor is not to exceed an excessive amount of tissue removal at a given setting. Typically for outpatients, i do not recommend removing more than a certain amount and if this is exceeded, the patient should be admitted to a hospital or aftercare facility for overnight monitoring.

As far as the skin not retracting properly, ti really depends on how lax (or loose) it is to begin with. This is the most important factor.

For safety reasons, you typically don’t want to remove more than a total of 5 liters of fat at one sitting. Per area it really varies, but you want to leave a small amount of fat behind to prevent irregularities and maintain a natural contour.
