@dipoltasi34
In theory you could have a post op prolapse of fat through a septal defect. In practice this doesn’t seem to occur so I have not found it necessary to sew the septum.

a sample of good surgery. But you didn’t sew the septum after trimming the fat pad. could you sew the septum to avoid the bulging? tnx.

And yes it is painless. The only thing the patient feels is the needle pricks from the numbing injection given by the surgeon prior to the procedure.

And yes it is painless. The only part the patient feels is the needle pinch at the beginning of the procedure when the surgeon injects the numbing medication into the eyelids.

@Iharaluv21… I’m sure some surgeons do this while the patient is completely asleep under anesthesia, but I think most do this under local anesthesia. At least where I work they do. I am a surgical assistant and do many of these each week. The patient is awake, but given medicine to make them woozy and they most likely forget the procedure. The dr numbs the upper lid with a needle prior to the surgery and the pt is awake the whole time!

@Cubansea
Unfortunately I can’t provide an accurate answer without seeing you.
For all such queries the best advice is to see your local oculoplastic surgeon.
Best wishes

@signmoon
Dear Signmoon
19 would normally be far too young to benefit from a standard blepharoplasty. If you felt that your eyelid was unusual in some way you could seek advice from an oculoplastic surgeon.

@EvilBraTT
Just local
For upper lids most patients are happy with local alone as the surgery is essentially done with the eyes closed so the bright light and instruments are less of an issue.
GA or sedation are optional according to patient health and preference.

I see you administered local anaesthetic but I am assuming this patient is under general anaesthetic as well?

@Girlisawesom
Yes – and enough skin. The marking and surgery need to be precise to avoid any excess tissue removal.

Co-existing glaucoma is not a contraindication – so yes!

Great job dr., but it would b nice to see the final result not only this incredible and professional process, I must to say that in some countries like Thailand where I live in, very famous for the high level on medicine and surgery -remember many people come here from outside to invert sex operations- for less than that price you can get a nice holidays also?
