Question by Roz: How bad does it feel after a septum (nose) surgery, is it horrible?
My husband is getting nose surgery to repair his septum withing a couple of weeks. The surgeon has explained to us how it goes but some people tell me it is horrible afterwards (lots of mucus, dry mouth, painful removal of nose plugs…).
Is is really that awful???

i haven’t had the surgery but i witnessed my aunt have it done. afterwards, her nose was bleeding and for a few months afterward she had scabs in her nose. she couldn’t sleep well at night because she couldn’t breathe through her nose and she was in bed a lot a week or so afterward. the surgery didn’t work for her, but the doctor said it might not have worked from the start. it actually made it worse.
