Q&A: nose surgery?
Question by Lost Girl: nose surgery?
Plastic surgery is so popular now days, and i’ve always wanted a taller nose bridge. Should i do it? I am sceptical because when a white person does plastic surgrey it’s a wonderful thing, but when an asian women want plastic surgrey they are consider trying to look more american. Do you think i should do it because i’ve always wanted a taller nose?
The reason why i want it now is because i can finally afford it. 3000 dollars isn’t very much to me, and a small price to pay for confidence?

No. I think you shouldn’t do it. Don’t follow what everyone else is doing. I’m sure you are beautiful the way you are now.

IM sure the beautiful the way you are. You shouldn’t have to conform yourself to build your confidence. Look in the mirror every morning and tell yourself your beautiful! It seems conceded but it will change the way u feel about yourself for the best.

I want plastic surgery too but it’s so expensive :[
I think it’s best to learn to love yourself first and gain some self-esteem before you get it. I don’t know. I NEED MONEY THOUGH !!! Haha. How much are they now anyway? Like 3,000 bucks. Ugh

I think most women, Anglo or otherwise, are going to get grief for wanting rhinoplasty. The problem with rhinoplasty in general is that it’s very risky, and it’s not covered by insurance. I wouldn’t let anyone but the best touch me… and I likely cannot afford the best.
Honestly what I would do is, look into makeup techniques to play up your great features and minimize a small bridge. For example, Celine Dion has always had a prominent nose but she uses makeup to minimize it… she’s never had rhinoplasty done that I know of. Naturally Jennifer Grey is another example of why rhinoplasty may be not what you want.
I went to a doctor about a deviated septum and cartilege in my nose that’s crooked, and he told me that the deviated septum surgery–septoplasty–is so much easier to do properly and to recover from than a rhinoplasty.
Happy to help!

Well sometimes when you get stuff like that done, people will be all like i am so happy for you, i could not stop looking at before, and then it will be something that people talk about, and it is also expensive so do what you want, but I wouldn’t do it

I don’t care how popular plastic surgery is or if you have the extra money to spend on it, PLEASE don’t do it unless there is something wrong with your nose and you just can’t stand it. Asian women are so pretty already, so why take a chance on messing your looks up with something you may just end up regretting. Also, many people who compliment someone on their plastic surgery actually talk about them behind their back to others and tell them that she is a fake (because she had cosmetic plastic surgery, unless it was really necessary). It isn’t actually such a wonderful thing when white women have plastic surgery, though it does help with some, but Asian women normally don’t need it to start with.
