Q&A: Why do some women like breast implants over natural beauty?
Question by dmeiske1@att.net: Why do some women like breast implants over natural beauty?
I am just wondering why some women want breast implants so badly that they will pay any price for it. I heard that the cost can be close to -50K, complications can occur, and it may cause breast cancer later on. My question for you is why would women want breast implants over natural looking breasts (natural beauty)? I’ve seen some women do breast augmentation and they looked better going in then coming out, so why then would women still do this?

As far as just wanting your breasts bigger, i think that is just because the way society puts off that guys are usually attracted to women with big breasts. But for other women they might have extremely small breasts or too big breasts…or women that have breastfed might want to do it…after you breastfeed sometimes your breasts can become really soft (like opposite of Firm) and they might be a bit saggy…in that case I can understand.

implants are not that expensive- $5k-7k average.
they don’t cause breast cancer – seriously do some research.
some women have quite a bit of asymmetry from side to side, and some are as flat at age 30 as they were at age 3 & want to look more feminine or at least fill out clothing a bit more normally.

I think that they feel like its something the have to do, having to compete with each other and having the best body, everything “perfect” its sad b/c its so crazy, for some women as my self don’t need to get enhancements, I also think that it is a lack of self-confidence.

Because a lot ov women are insecure about themselves (me included) and would go to extreme lengths to correct it theres nothing worse than having a part ov your body that you dont like.

Where on earth did you get $25-50K from? And there is no proof whatsoever that breast implants can cause breast cancer. The problem is that the implant may obscure the detection of breats cancers during a mammogram, I think you may have got your facts mixed up there.
Anyway, I don’t want implants because even though I believe they are safe, I am not keen on the long term aesthetic complications such as hardening of scar tissue round the implant leading to a very unnatural overly firm appearance of the breasts. I’ve even known women that have needed breast reconstructions due to the build up of excessive scar tissue around the implant causing breast deformities. This is enough to steer me well clear.
But I think you have to understand there is pressure on women from all angles to look a certain way. Some women give into the pressure and others are not phased by it.
