Which is the best chin surgery procedure?

Question by ushamama: Which is the best chin surgery procedure?
I went to see a surgeon a few days ago because I’m planning to have a chin surgery, and he explained to me that there where two different procedures: the first one is one where you get a small incision under your chin and an implant is inserted in front of the bone; the second one consisted of a bigger incision made inside the mouth and under the chin, a piece of the bone is cut and slid forward, and an implant is inserted.
The doctor recommended the second procedure for me, saying that my problem was severe. He said that I could decide for the first procedure but after several years the implant would insert into my chin bone and a second surgery may be necessary. Obviously, the second procedure (sliding the chin) is a lot more expensive and I really don’t want to pay all that money if the results are going to be the same.
There is always the risk of a doctor recommending the most expensive procedure even if its not necessary, so I’m just trying to make sure this is the right decision

No surgery is the best surgery yo are beautiful the God created you to be and once you accept yourself for the beautiful person you are you will love the $$$ you saved by not having the procedure done and secondly your body, mind & spirit will love you even more for the pain you will not be causing it… Any knid of surgery is extremely trumatic to yuor body and mind whether it be a chin tuck or open heart surgery and if you don;t like the results what are you going to do waste more money and trauma to your face and body and have more surgery to correct something that is beautiful and perfect in the first place?

This is where a second opinion would be valuable.

Many people look great after the implant, which is a pretty minor procedure.

See another plastic surgeon. Most plastic surgeons are terrific, but I’ve met a few sleazy ones who are all about the money.

You also need to consider the higher risk associated with the second procedure. A reputable surgeon will give you the risks and benefits of each.

Good luck!
